Happy Hooking!

Hey, hey...it's hump day! Seems everything around me goes crazy each Wednesday, so I'm about to log-off, hunker down, and watch out for falling rocks -- or anything else that might go flying by.  Don't know what it is about Wednesday, but rather than sit back and watch things go haywire, I'll be proactive and prepare ahead of time. Sounds like a plan, don't you think?

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, as they say in westerns...except that I'm not writing any western romances at the moment, so I'll just shut up now and let you enjoy today's Hump Day Hook from "Happily Ever After".

Here's a quick bit of dialogue as Anne Hopkins confronts George Mather about her duties:

“Mr. Mather,” she repeated in a firmer voice. “You did not hire me. Your mother did. Furthermore, it was my understanding that the job would entail watching over your daughter, not putting myself at your beck and call. If you're suggesting I perform any duties other than those your mother assigned, I suggest you speak with her about the matter. Until such time as she instructs me otherwise, I will continue looking after Rowena."

  1. Good for her putting him in his place. Ooh, I wonder what duties Mr. Mather has in mind for her. I want to know more about what is coming up for them and Rowena.

  2. Hehe. Good for her. Every man needs a dressing down from time to time - especially when they are being too forward.
